A Thousand Blows confirmed for Season 2 ahead of its premiere
When asked what can he say about A Thousand Blows Season 2, he mentioned:
"Not a lot, because I can't give a lot away but it's more of the same, expect the unexpected but the stakes are higher.''
The series includes an A-lister cast, which includes Kirby, Stephen Graham, Francis Lovehall, and Erin Doherty. The drama series is based on the Forty Elephants, a notorious all-female-led crime syndicate in 19th century London, who were famous for shoplifting.
Stephen Graham, who plays the role of Sugar Goodson in the series, has already worked with Knight in Peaky Blinders. He will also reprise his role of Hayden Stagg in the upcoming Peaky Blinders movie, along with the leading man, Cillian Murphy.
In an interview with Radio Times, Graham revealed that he and his wife, Hannah Walters, approached Knight with the idea for A Thousand Blows:
"I’d love to take the credit for that but that’s not the case. I pass it now to Hannah [Walters]. We got sent this beautiful photograph of Hezekiah and he looked so regal, just so full of humility and dignity. It was a fantastic photograph.''
He added:
"There were two paragraphs about Sugar and Treacle and it got sent to us through Tom [Miller for Water & Power Productions], one of our other producers, and he said: 'I’d really love you to be involved, I’d really love you to play Sugar if we can get it off the ground and, you know, we really want you and Hannah to come onboard and produce it with us.'
A Thousand Blows will premiere on February 21, 2025, on Disney+.
