The Challenge fans had an anxious time over the past few days after Chris 'CT' Tamburello, a popular contestant on the reality TV show, met with an accident on Christmas Eve. Soon, online rumors started doing the rounds that his life had tragically ended, and CT took to social media to address fans with humor and candor.

CT, originally from The Real World: Paris, entered The Challenge 40 with 39 other contenders. Famous for the 'CT Pro Tip' this season, he was eliminated early on in the show after failing to finish the 'Getting Hammered' challenge against Nehemiah, but lost none of the fan love he has garnered on the show.

Upon hearing the rumors of his demise, CT cleared the air on social media, much to the relief of his fans.

The Rumor of CT's Demise

On December 23, 2024, two days before Christmas, a social media post from The Challenge star, CT, updated his fans about the accident:

"To whom this may concern, CT was in an accident. He will not be able to compete anymore Cameos today. He apologizes for any inconvenience. 🙏"

Since the post was vague, people started speculating on the severity of the accident. Due to lack of adequate information, a wave of rumors hit the online world. Many even jumped to the conclusion that The Challenge contestant had passed away. Soon social media flooded with posts mourning CT.

CT debunked his death rumors

It was then that Christ 'CT' Tamburello decided to clear the air. He posted a recording with a picture of himself after the incident with a voiceover explaining the severity of his condition.

"No, so my left big toe looks like Cara's bunion. My left knee looks like it got branded. I don't know what that is. My right pinky and ring finger, yeah, it broke again.
He continues in the post: "I didn't realize I had that thing on my head until I was... even see my son CJ a hug and I was like, dude, why what the hell was that? I was like...and then I'm like, wait, hold on CJ, do I have a and I started rubbing it? It goes yeah. He takes a f*ck*ng picture in my head. Do I got a Tom and Jerry egg hanging up?"
