RHOC season 18 premiered on July 11, 2024, on Bravo, and it featured a familiar face, Sophia. Fans might remember her as RHOC star Tamra Judge’s daughter, who recently graduated from high school, as shared by her mother on the show.
In an interview with People on August 29, 2024, Sophia Barney recently opened up about returning to the RHOC and more. Tamra Judge split with Sophia’s father, Simon Barney, around the show’s fifth season. Due to legal reasons, Sophia and her siblings Spencer and Sydney have not been part of the show.
"We’re very normal. We just go to HomeGoods, to the mall, to thrift stores. It’s very chill," shared Sophia in the interview.

RHOC season 18 premiered on July 11 and surprised fans. It featured housewife Tamra Judge’s daughter, Sophia Barney, who recently turned 18. She was last seen on RHOC in season 5 when she was just five.
In 2022, Judge split from Simon Barney, Sophia's father, who didn’t sign the release papers stating Sophia, along with their kids, Sydney, 24, and Spencer, 23, could be part of the show.
"As a mom, I felt horrible. I'd even say, "Can you just shoot them from the back walking up the stairs so people know that I have children?' Because it was really hard for me. We're supposed to be fully transparent on the show, and here was this whole part of me I could just never show," said Tamra Judge.
During the interview, Sophia also shared how “frustrating" it was to hide in the shadows.
"I had to tiptoe around the cameras all the time. And seeing my mom do it my entire life, it seemed like there was something happening in my life that I was kind of a part of, but always an outsider to," shared Sophia.
Sophia, who turned 18 this year, said she wanted to be part of it (the show) and was happy. She added that it seemed “a lot easier,” and she didn’t have to feel like a stranger in her own house. Talking about her mom, Sophia said that she doesn’t see the “Tamra Judge” everyone sees; she sees her mom.
Sophia looks forward to working in the entertainment industry. She shared that she can “make music,” produce, and sing.
