Love Is Blind Season 8 premiered its first six episodes on Valentine's Day and gave us nice pod dates involving 32 singles from Minneapolis. As the format goes, a couple of singles paired up and got engaged by the end of episode 6. However, Madison and Alex, who were close to the end line, stepped back from the engagement in the show.

Both the participants left the pods single, and Alex Brown joined E! News exclusively to throw light on what happened with them in the pods. Alex and Madison had some honest and vulnerable moments in the pods, talking about their past traumas and family. It seemed that the two were reaching a place of comfort in their connection.

However, they did not get engaged and, after a few disagreements, decided to walk off alone from the social experiment. Citing what went south for them, Alex Brown exclusively told E! News reporter Francesca Amiker that:

"We were just on different pages. We realized that a couple of times throughout the pod dates, that we just have different styles of communication and we just realized that we were not super compatible. We just decided to go our separate ways."

What happened between Madison and Alex on Love Is Blind Season 8?

Alex Brown and Madison Errichiello started on quite a good note in the pods of Love is Blind Season 8. Alex opened up about his tough school days when he got bullied, while Madison shared how her mother's addiction caused her a lot of trauma in childhood. Despite having a bond with another participant, Mason, in the pods, Madison seemed inclined towards Alex.

As Alex and Madison sat down to discuss their "attachment styles" in the pods, what initially seemed like an insightful conversation quickly turned into a significant roadblock in their budding connection. Alex, having faced heartache in previous relationships, craved an emotionally available partner.

On the other hand, Madison revealed her tendency to be "avoidant," a trait that clashed deeply with Alex's desire for closeness. However, later, they overcame this issue and decided to be a couple, only to cancel out proposing to each other in the end. When Madison cut off Mason, Alex came in support of Mason, which left Madison feeling "invalidated."

Love Is Blind star Madison understood that Alex wanted to be a good guy, but she realized that they could not end up as a couple. She told Netflix after her exist:

"I was trying my best, and if it wasn’t good enough for him, then it’s never going to be good enough. It was sad, but that was all the clarity I needed. I wasn’t shocked by the outcome."

Love Is Blind Season 8 is streaming on Netflix now.
