Vanished: The Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco to take the lead in upcoming thriller show from AGC

Vanished is an upcoming mystery thriller series from AGC, which was recently announced at the Series Mania held in Lille, France wherein AGC aims to launch its sales, Variety reported. Vanished will feature an ensemble cast of well-known actors, including Kaley Cuoco of The Big Bang Theory fame.

Joining Kaley Cuoco will be Matthias Schweighöfer and Sam Claflin. The show is slated to be directed by Barnaby Thompson.


What's the latest buzz about Vanished?

As mentioned earlier, the show centers around themes of mystery and suspense. The official logline of the upcoming show reads:

"When a romantic getaway to Paris takes a dark turn with the sudden disappearance of her boyfriend Tom Claflin aboard a train to the south of France, Alice Cuoco is plunged into a web of intrigue and danger, uncovering shocking secrets about the man she thought she knew."

Barnaby Thompson, who has previously directed Pixie, will helm the new show. The production is reported to commence on April 28 and will take place in the French cities of Paris and Marseilles. The production will be funded jointly by AGC Television and the German organization ARD Degeto.


Who is in the cast of Vanished?

The upcoming show will feature an international ensemble cast bringing forth the best of talents from several countries. Veteran French actor, Karin Viard, will be appearing alongside Cuoco and Sam Claflin, along with prominent German actor, Matthias Schweighofer.

Kaley Cuoco has worked in The Flight Attendant for which she has been nominated for both the Golden Globe and Emmy awards. While Sam Claflin has been associated with the popular shows, Peaky Blinders and Me Before You, in the past, Karin Viard has been nominated for the Cesar Award thirteen times. On the other hand, Matthias Schweighöfer has starred alongside Kenneth Branagh and Tom Cruise in Valkyrie. With such a powerful cast, one can fairly expect riveting performances from the show in question.

Preston Thompson and David Hilton have created the show which is written by Thompson. James Clayton of Slow Burn Entertainment is serving as the executive producer along with David Kosse and Barnaby Thompson. The production will be centered mostly in France with Peninsula Film headed by CEO John Bernard providing production-related assistance.
