Netflix recently released the Love is Blind UK reunion on August 26, 2024. Fans who have been following the show must know that the last episode of the social experiment featured engaged couples’ weddings.
The recently aired Love is Blind UK reunion was shot a year after those weddings, and for that, couples and some singles from the Pod Squad have returned.
One of the couples comprised Maria and Tom, but Tom chose not to get married on that day because of the differences in their mindsets. Looking back at himself throughout the show, Tom shared that he learned a lot about himself.
"I’ve got to say, having watched the episodes back, there were a couple of moments in that which I kind of looked at and thought, "Wow. That was, like, it was ugly behavior from me." That was something which I’ve had some real time to reflect on," shared Tom.

Tom admitted that after watching the episodes of Love is Blind UK, he realized that his behavior was "ugly" and that he had some "real" time to reflect on.
Later, the co-host Matt asked Maria,
"You thanked Tom for showing you a different version of strength. What did you mean by that then?"
Maria responded that she still stood by that and added that Tom was very emotional. He did show that there was nothing wrong with being an emotional person and added that it was okay to show that side to the world as well.
Tom shed some light on how his mom raised him and that he "never really had" a masculine role model in his life while growing up.
"So, that comes with a lot of negatives, which I think actually came out a lot in our relationship. But maybe some positives as well."
Tom shared that his main "outtake" from the whole experience was it “really shone” a light on his flaws.
During the Love is Blind UK reunion, Maria was asked about the time when her mother met Tom on their wedding day, just before the ceremony. Maria admitted that watching it back during the show's episodes made her "angry again."
Sharing more on the subject, Tom said that Maria’s family members were incredible, and that allowed him to learn about himself. He thanked Maria and added that he wished that, at times, "he’d treated" Maria a bit better.
