Season 29 of The Bachelor was announced on Monday, August 12, 2024, by ABC, and Grand Ellis will be leading the show. Fans who have been following current The Bachelorette season 21, led by Jennifer "Jenn" Tran, might have seen Grant Ellis on the show.

He was recently eliminated along with Sam McKinnley and Spencer Conley on August 12, 2024, the same day ABC announced the upcoming season of The Bachelor.

Rachel Lindsay, in an exclusive conversation with People on August 20, 2024, shared a word of advice for Grand Ellis. Fans might remember Rachel from Bachelorette season 13. She said,

"I would say trust your gut. You have no outside influence, so you really have to trust yourself. Listen to that inner voice, and follow that. Don't let other people do it for you."

Former Bachelorette star Rachel Lindsay's word of advice for the upcoming season of The Bachelor

Rachel Lindsay, once a contestant on The Bachelor Season 21, later led the spin-off show, Bachelorette Season 13. She became the first African-American woman in the franchise.

Recently, Rachel attended the premiere of Terry McMillan Presents: Forever in Los Angeles on August 20, 2024. While she was there, during her exclusive interview with People, she shared a few things for Grant Ellis, who will be seen leading the upcoming The Bachelor season 29, which is set to premiere in 2025.

Her word of advice for Grand Ellis was to "trust" his gut and that he would have no influence from the outside. Hence, he would “have to trust” himself. She also shared not to let other people “do it” for him.

While sharing advice for upcoming season lead Grant Ellis, Rachel also shared a few things for the female participants who will be featured in the show. Former Bachelorette star Rachel Lindsay shared,

"Often we compare ourselves to other people, and we think, 'Oh, I'm not enough, or I need to be doing what that person's doing.' But the reality is you're unique. You bring something different to the table every single time."

She also added that women on the show should know what they want for themselves, "stay in that lane," and be themselves.

At the time of his elimination from the currently running The Bachelorette on August 12, 2024 episode, Grant's parting words were,

"I poured everything out and it wasn't good enough. It just sucks knowing that you feel some way about somebody, and they don’t feel the same about you.`'

He shared his views on wanting a family and a wife. He added that he wanted to give everything to somebody and did not think he would be eliminated that night.

As Matt James was the first, Grant Ellis would become the second African-American bachelor.
