Netflix premiered The Circle Season 7 on September 11, 2024, and released the first four episodes of the social game show. The first episode, The Disruption Begins, introduced 7 participants and started the much-awaited social competition.

Among other participants, The Circle Season 7 features Deb, who entered the game as Rachel (catfishing persona), forming a connection with fellow participant Savannah. During the first episode, Deb privately chatted with Savannah as she wanted to know about her.

After talking with her, Deb seemed quite emotional as she shared,

"I have to respond as Rachel, but I want to be sincere. I…I… This is a hard one. Um…I just, uh…(gets emotional) think about Savannah's parents. How scared they must've been. Savannah's 22. My, uh, oldest son passed away at 22. So my son is here with me. He's a part of me. I’m just glad she's here, and her parents have her. And, uh… I love her attitude," confessed Deb.

The Circle Season 7 Episode 1: Deb, aka Rachel and Savannah's first private chat

The first episode of The Circle Season 7 featured participants Deb and Savannah. While Deb entered the show by catfishing, i.e., presenting herself as Rachel, Savannah came to the game show as herself.

After seeing things like "#BrainSurgeryQueen" on Savannah's profile and that she was also a dog lover, Deb wanted to talk to her.

"I really want to talk to Savannah today. I want to get her story. I think she (Savannah) and Rachel (Deb's catfishing persona) will very likely hit it off. Same age, both dog lovers, and I hope that she likes the fact that Rachel wants to know about her. People like to talk about themselves," shared Deb.

Deb, aka Rachel, initiated the private chat and started the conversation with Savannah,

"Hey, girl! Your profile and your answers during the game have left me wanting to know your story. I'm sincerely interested in finding out more about you and what '#BrainSurgeryQueen' means. I’m sure it must be something important in your life."

After receiving the message, Savannah found it "cute" and mentioned that it was "exactly" what she wanted. To prove that she was "not a catfish," Savannah wanted to "overshare" with fellow participants.

She then messaged Deb, aka Rachel, and shared about her brain surgery that she had in 2021.

Deb told the cameras that she wanted to respond as "a mom," but she couldn't since she was there as "Rachel" on the show. She called it "a hard one" and got emotional as she remembered her late son, who passed away when he was 22.

She replied to Savannah and thanked her for opening up and sharing her story. Seeing Rachel's supportive message, Savannah said that she "really liked" her.

"I’m so glad I got the opportunity to open up to you. I've gotten great vibes. #DidWeJustBecomeBestFriends," Savannah's message read.

Deb agreed to Savannah and sent back #YesWeDidJustBecomeBestFriends in the chat. After making her "first alliance" on The Circle Season 7, Savannah was glad. However, she still felt like a "terrible person" because she voted for Rachel last.

Deb told cameras that maybe Savannah was "supposed to get married" to one of her boys and chuckled.
