If Shark Tank fans are wondering where Mr. Wonderful likes to invest other than the hefty business deal, you have come to the right place. Those who have the slightest idea of Canadian investor O'Leary or have been an Instagram follower would know the answer.
Kevin O'Leary, renowned entrepreneur and investor from Shark Tank, has been actively sharing his passion for watches through his Instagram account. He frequently discusses various watch brands, providing insights into their designs and functionalities during podcasts and interviews. Recently, he unveiled his top two favorite watch brands that offer exceptional craftsmanship and utility—all priced under $10,000.
These brands showcase innovative designs and provide excellent value for those wanting to invest in quality timepieces without breaking the bank. He shared a brief clip from an interview where he listed his favorite brands of the year on January 11, 2024, and mentioned:
"I’ve got a soft spot for watch brands that care about new collectors, and this year, two stand out: Grand Seiko and Tudor. They’ve nailed it with their releases under $10K—hard to beat. Plus, they actually have inventory you can buy. For anyone starting their collection, these brands are leading the way."
Here is what makes Grand Seiko and Tudor top on Shark Tank's Kevin O'Leary list of watches under $10k
Shark Tank's Kevin O'Leary joined Craig Karger, aka Wrist Enthusiast, in an interview in Geneva. O'Leary opened up about the watch industry, operations, inventory, and more. He took the opportunity to talk about two brands, citing 4 collections under $10k, which made an impact on him. The brands were Grand Seiko and Tudor.
Kevin O'Leary expanded his thought and elaborated that Grand Seiko has a great inventory providing for the demands of "new collectors" as well. He then mentioned that Tudor deserved a shout, too, for having an impressive production capacity and selling functional watches under $5k.
"I mean, it's hard to beat what they've done this year because, you know, Grand Seiko has production capacity. So it's not only important enough to make it entry-level, they actually have inventory you can buy. Tudor, the same. Because it's great to bring out a watch for $5,000 and make 4."
He added -
"So you gotta have some production capacity, and then I think I'm gonna do the shout-out for those guys" added Kevin O'Leary.
Shark Tank's previous seasons can be streamed via Disney+ and Hulu.
