Good things seem to be cooking up for Witcher's fourth season, as actors from the franchise Paul Bullion and Basil Eidenbenz shared a photo after a meeting in London, teasing that they're cooking up something for the near future.

In a photo shared on Instagram by Bullion, the actor can be seen alongside Eidenbenz as they both are all smiles for the camera. In the caption, Bullion writes:

"Nice catch up with this one. We are cooking up something cool for the near future. Always a pleasure mate. #Eskel took #Lambert for a coffee."

Paul Bullion plays the role of Lambert, a witcher and Henry Cavill's Geralt's friend, while Basil Eidenbenz stars as Eskel, another close friend of Geralt's and a witcher. Bullion has been a recurring character on the show while Eidenberz was introduced in the second season. Eskel was previously portrayed by Thue Ersted Rasmussen, who exited the show after it's first run and Eidenberz took over the role.

The show is currently under development and can be expected to wrap up by 2026. A notable change in the new season is Henry Cavill's exit from the show as Liam Hemsowrth replaces him as The Witcher.

In 2019, Cavill announced that he was committed to playing the role of Geralt for seven seasons. Speaking to Hollywood Reporter, the actor said:

“Absolutely. As long as we can keep telling great stories which honor [author Andrzej] Sapkowski’s work.”

Shortly after, his departure from the series led to multiple questions as to why he exited. The show was doing fairly well commercially, and for Cavill it was a promising project. Much of the buzz surrounding his departure had to do with a potential return the actor announced as the DCEU's Superman, as Black Adam's ending teased a crossover between the two heroes. The latter's commercial failure at the box office led to things straying in another way, and James Gunn's acquisition of the DC Universe led to the studio scrapping up Cavill's project.

Tomek Baginski, executive producer for the show has previously assured fans that they will smoothly transition between Cavill's Geralt and Hemsworth's Geralt. He has also added that the premise will very much stay loyal to the books, specifically book five. Speaking to Yahoo, Baginski has said:

"We have a very, very good plan to introduce our new Geralt and our new vision for Geralt with Liam. Not going deeply into those ideas because this will be a huge spoiler, [but] it's also very, very close to the meta ideas which are deeply embedded in the books, especially in book five. It's very lore accurate."

The first three seasons of The Witcher are available to watch on Netflix.
