Recently, Aimee Lou Wood, a star of The White Lotus Season 3, shared some insights regarding that producer Mike White’s casting. She said that he picks performers that closely resemble their roles. This strategy allows actors to lend a feeling of honesty and vulnerability to their characters.

"That’s why the show feels so gnarly because you’re a bit like yeuuugghhhh. It all feels a bit close to the bone."
