Keep reading to learn more about the easter eggs and other references contained in the fifth episode of the HBO show.
1) The cameo by Sam Rockwell
The most recent episode of The White Lotus saw Sam Rockwell appear in a cameo appearance as Frank, a longtime friend of Rick who resides in Bangkok. Upon meeting Rick, Frank handed him a duffel bag containing a gun. Frank also explained in great detail about his sexual misadventures and other tales of debauchery that eventually led him to seek a sober and celibate life. Before parting ways, Frank reminded Rick that the two of them might meet again for a bit of "role-play".
2) Gary's shadowy past
It is fair to say that throughout season 3, Belinda and Gary, formerly known as Greg, have been locked in a tense contest. Belinda couldn't take it anymore and in episode 5, she confided her apprehensions about Gary to Fabian. The subject of her worry was Gary's former wife Tanya drowning to death in the second season. Although Fabian advised Belinda to keep calm and not involve the authorities, he also mentioned that they had been waiting to question Gary.
Elsewhere, Chloe too expressed her concerns about Gary to Chelsea, revealing that she thought Gary capable enough to murder her.
3) Timothy Ratliff's su*cide note
Jason Isaac's Timothy Ratliff has been caught between a rock and a hard place on the latest season of the HBO show. After his past financial misdeeds come back to haunt him and while he's looking down at possible incarceration, Timothy etches out "I'm so sorry. I love you all." in his last note before sticking the gun stolen from the hotel's security to his head. Before he can pull the trigger, however, he is interrupted by his wife Victoria.
