The cast and plot of The Perfect Couple on Netflix
The Perfect Couple features a star-studded cast. Nicole Kidman, famous for Big Little Lies, plays Greer Garrison Winbury, a well-known novelist and the mother of the groom, Benji Winbury.
From the get-go, her disapproval of her future daughter-in-law, Amelia Sacks (played by Eve Hewson), creates a tense setting. Dakota Fanning joins the cast as Abby Winbury, the groom’s sister-in-law, alongside a great lineup featuring Liev Schreiber as Tag Winbury, the groom’s dad, and Billy Howle as Benji Winbury.
The story follows Amelia Sacks, who's gearing up to marry into one of the richest families in Nantucket. Greer has gone all out planning the wedding, aiming for it to be the event of the season.
As the investigation starts, it turns out every guest has something to hide. This uncovers a mass of secrets that could ruin the Winbury family's perfect image. Directed by the talented Emmy and Oscar winner Susanne Bier, this series aims to keep you hooked as the mystery unfolds.

The Perfect Couple's creative team has Susanne Bier at the helm. She's directed all six episodes and also served as an executive producer. This mind behind Bird Box and The Night Manager brings her trademark suspense to the show.
Jenna Lamia, the showrunner known for her work on Good Girls and No Tomorrow, keeps the story true to Hilderbrand’s exciting novel but brings her spin to the adaptation.
Along with Bier and Lamia, the series' executive producers include Shawn Levy, known for Stranger Things and Shadow and Bone. Nicole Kidman and Per Saari are also on board as executive producers through Blossom Films.
The Perfect Couple will be available on Netflix on September 5, 2024.
