The first season of The Last of Us follows Joel, a jaded man with a sad background, and Ellie, a clever and daring girl who may be humanity's final hope.

With only nine compelling episodes, the show combines intense emotions, survival, and trust. Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey head the cast. This HBO series, praised for its heart, cinematography, and music, became a breakout sensation that fans and reviewers couldn't get enough of.

When Joel dies, Kaitlyn Dever, who portrays Abby in The Last of Us Season 2, is in favor of the program's altering. She believes that by giving viewers more time to get to know Abby's character, her tale becomes more poignant, and she is seen as more than simply a monster.

The Last of Us's first season concluded in a dramatic way. When Joel and Ellie got to the Fireflies, they hoped to use Ellie's immunity to create a remedy. Joel had to prevent that from occurring. He killed a lot of Fireflies, including the doctor, to save her. He later lies to Ellie by claiming that the Fireflies have given up on finding a cure. Despite her apparent hesitation, Ellie decided to believe him. Quietly, with a melancholy feeling between them, the season came to an end.

Season 2, which premieres on April 13, 2025, will explore what occurs after that. Things become increasingly darker. Joel is murdered by Abby, the doctor's daughter, whom he shot. Ellie is heartbroken and seeks revenge. This season will follow Ellie's terrible journey as well as Abby's narrative. The show will look at both sides and discuss sadness, rage, and maybe even forgiveness.

The show's Abby is played by Kaitlyn Dever. She discussed one major alteration from the game. In the game, Joel dies early, but the show might postpone that point. Kaitlyn believes this is a fantastic idea. She stated that it would help people understand Abby better before that occurred. Showing her life and misery first may help followers understand why she did what she did.

People could have a better understanding of Abby rather than just viewing her as a villain. According to Kaitlyn, these minor adjustments may give the narrative greater depth and passion on The Last of Us.

According to reports by Times Entertainment, the actor remarks,

“For Abby, I think we're just going deeper. I felt like we were really embedding ourselves into the bones of Abby, and giving her a little bit of a lead-up too, because in the game obviously when she appears, we don't know who this woman is. She comes out of nowhere. In the show, we're giving her a little bit more context and showing her side of the story a little bit more, which I think is really exciting and interesting."

Booksmart, Unbelievable, and Dopesick are just a few of the films and television series in which Kaitlyn Dever has excelled. She frequently chooses parts that are forceful and serious. She continues to demonstrate her ability in The Last of Us, giving her character genuine feeling.
