Elisabeth Moss, known for playing the memorable role of June Osborne in the Emmy-winning series The Handmaid's Tale, recently revealed in the March 26, 2025, episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! that she wanted to take home a souvenir from the set after finishing shooting for the last season. However, she found out that the item she called dibs on had already been taken by someone.

Moss spoke about how a special set of underwear, made specifically for her, was something she wished to take home as a keepsake. But after speaking to production, she was informed that the item she wished to have had already been claimed by someone else from the crew.

As Kimmell speculated on who might have taken it, Moss replied that she does not want to know who the person behind this deed might be. She stated,

"I don't wanna know. I went to work with these people! I don't wanna know who wants my underwear!"

Kimmel then teased the idea of how they could reveal the name of whoever took the undergarments. He joked,

"Maybe we'll have some kind of live, pay-per-view thing where we announce the name. At the end of the season, maybe you can tack on a little post-show on Hulu in which you reveal who took the underwear. It'll be like 'The Bachelor Men Tell All' special."

The 42-year-old actress then went on to talk about how she has kept a souvenir from her time on the series Mad Men, where she played Peggy Olson. She elaborated further, stating,

“I took my chair. The last chair that I sat in as Peggy, this purple chair. But it’s not a very nice chair, so it’s just in storage. I don’t know what to do with it! I don’t know why I have a chair.”

Elisabeth Moss's role in The Handmaid's Tale

The Handmaid's Tale has been one of the prominent shows in recent times that has received considerable praise for the roles played by Elisabeth Moss, Joseph Fiennes, Yvonne Strahovski, and Alexis Bledel. Based on the 1985 eponymous dystopian novel by Margaret Atwood, it depicts the theonomic dictatorship of Gilead, a totalitarian regime that has taken control over the former United States following a civil war. It oppresses women as they are denied, while making them work under horrific conditions.

The show has won a total of fifteen Emmy awards and was also Hulu's first win at this Award ceremony. Moss's character is of particular importance, and has won her critical acclaim. She has received widespread praise, especially for her authentic portrayal of her textual counterpart.

The show has six seasons, after which the creators have decided to drop the curtain on it. Talking to Kimmel about why they decided to end the show after six seasons, Moss states,

"We don't want to overstay our welcome. You always want to kind of be the people that you leave the party early and I think our story is coming to a close."

The Handmaid's Tale is available to stream on Hulu.
