Silo fans are probably feeling excited and sad at the same time as the Season 2 finale approaches, marking the end of another intriguing chapter on the sci-fi dystopian show. The penultimate episode revealed the true identity of Solo and his tragic past, setting the stage for the last episode.

A question in every fan's mind at this stage must pertain to lead actress Rebecca Ferguson's future in the acclaimed series, on whether her character Juliette returns in Season 3.

The curiosity stems from the fact that the Apple TV+ series follows Hugh Howey's trilogy and, after an unexpected shift, Juliette only appears at the end. So, does that mean Ferguson won't reprise her role next season?

Showrunner Graham Yost has assured "Juliette would be a big part" in Silo Season 3, which means Rebecca Ferguson will not have a reduced role. While the shift from the source material cannot be ignored, Juliette remains a key character driving the plot.

Continue reading to know how Yost addressed the question about Juliette's fate in Season 3 of the Apple TV+ show.

Silo Season 2 wraps up with the finale on January 17, 2025, after living up to fan the expectations, just as the first chapter did. Much to the delight of fans, Ferguson isn't going anywhere, and she will reprise her role as a protagonist.

During an interview with TVLine, showrunner Graham Yost referred to Shift, Hugh Howey's second book of the Silo trilogy on which the TV series is based, to address the question:

"In the book Shift, Juliette doesn’t appear until like the last page, right? It’s about this silo [No 18], but it’s also the origin story of the whole silo project."

He continued:

"I would say that we have Rebecca Ferguson playing Juliette, and she is not just going to be in the last scene of the season."

On her part, Ferguson loves her character and, during an interview with The Wrap, mentioned:

"I believe that the whole story of the three books would have to be told over four seasons. And then it’s down to people loving the show and all we do is the best we can to get it out there and hope that people want more."

After discovering the truth and making it out alive in the Season 1 finale, Juliette is joined by Steve Zahn's character, Solo, who's now revealed to be Jimmy, the son of Russell. Juliette also knows how Solo's traumatic past made him obsessed with protecting the vault and become a complex character.

However, as seen in Episode 9, Solo or Jimmy has finally opened the vault of Silo 17 and lets Rick and Audrey have food and explore it. With just one episode left, it would be exciting to watch how Season 2 concludes.
