Fans of The Voice Season 26 finally have their winner, and not everyone seems to be happy with it. NBC wraps up another season of the reality TV singing show, with season 27 lined up for Feb 2025, crowning Sofronio Vasquez as the winner. Sofronio represents the first-time coach, Michael Bublé.
In Part 1 of the two-day finale, each finalist performed in 2 rounds. For his final performances, Sofronio picked Unstoppable by Sia and A Million Dreams from The Greatest Showman. Shye, the runner-up of this season, sang One of Us by Joan Osborne and Falling by Harry Styles.
After the final two performances by the finalists on part 1 of the live finale, everyone was eagerly waiting for the results.
Fans reaction to The Voice finalist Shye's 2nd place ranking
After two days of mesmerizing performances, the finale finally came to an end on Dec 10 declaring the new champion. Though many fans seem over the moon with the results, some wished Shye would have taken home the win.
One fan even took it to X and posted a status,
"SHYE WAS ROBBED #TheVoice"
Some fans seem happy with Sofronio and Shye taking the 1st and 2nd place on the leaderboard,
"Shye & Sofronio Deserved that 1&2 spot .. they got it right either way 🪄 #thevoice"
Many fans also praised Shye's final performance on day 1 of the finale.
A fan even replied to this tweet and wrote,
"I’m voting for Shye, that was awesome!"
Another fan of The Voice Season 26 mentioned,
"I think she has a beautiful voice, a potential Barbra Streisand type. But the song choices were just not good, not memorable. Didn't blow the roof off and she's very capable it it."
One fan posted on X on the morning of Dec 10,

A X user also praised her second performance in the finale,

Though many supported Shye and wished she won the show, she could only secure second place, banking another big win for the first-time coach, Michael Bublé. Following Shye, Sydney Sterlace finished in 3rd place while Danny Joseph ranked 4th on the leaderboard. Jeremy Boloate landed himself the last place on the finale scoreboard.
