Elizabeth Olsen is confirmed to headline Seven Sisters, a new drama series on FX. The network has ordered a pilot episode of the show, with Sean Durkin directing it.
Olsen is well-recognized for playing Wanda Maximoff, aka Scarlet Witch, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The actress has appeared in several other shows and films and was last seen on television in the Max miniseries, Love & Death.
Seven Sisters revolves around a family whose lives are turned upside down when one of the sisters starts hearing a voice that nobody else can. FX has not yet given a full-season order for the series.
Elizabeth Olsen to star in FX’s Seven Sisters

Seven Sisters marks a reunion between Elizabeth Olsen and Sean Durkin over a decade after they collaborated on the 2011 film, Martha Marcy May Marlene. The critically acclaimed movie marked Olsen’s big-screen debut and earned several awards.
Durkin has also directed the 2020 psychological drama, The Nest, and more recently, the biographical sports drama, The Iron Claw. On television, he has helmed the British drama series, Southcliffe, and the Prime Video psychological thriller series, Dead Ringers.
In Seven Sisters, Olsen is set to play one of the sisters of a close-knit family, who starts to hear a voice that no one else can. This leads to chaos and some dark secrets of the family members are unraveled.
The series is being produced by FX Productions, with Durkin serving as an executive producer along with Will Arbery and Garrett Basch. Arbery, who has written the pilot episode, has earlier worked on HBO’s Succession.
On the other hand, Basch has had a long association with FX, as he has collaborated with the network on shows like What We Do in the Shadows, Reservation Dogs, and Devs. His other executive production credits include Our Flag Means Death, Ripley, Dispatches from Elsewhere, and Time Bandits.
Elizabeth Olsen has won numerous accolades in her career. The actress has worked in films like The Assessment, His Three Daughters, Kodachrome, and Peace, Love & Misunderstanding. In the MCU, she has made several appearances as Wanda Maximoff.
Some of her Marvel films include Avengers: Endgame, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and Captain America: Civil War. Within the franchise, she also starred in the Disney+ series, WandaVision, and voiced her character in the animated show, What If...? Meanwhile, the rest of the cast of Seven Sisters remains to be announced.
