“Sean and I are actually married”: 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way star Joanne sheds light on her relationship status

90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way Season 6 Episode 7 featured Jo from Long Island, and Sean from Ireland, introducing viewers to their love story.

During the episode, Jo revealed that the duo are not just in a long-distance relationship but they have been married for the past two years.

"Everyone knows Sean as my boyfriend, but that’s not actually true. Sean and I are actually married, and we have been for two years," shared Jo.

90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way features Americans who choose to leave their homeland and move to another country for their "the one." Locations for the current season will explore many countries, including China, Iceland, England, Turkey, Indonesia, and Ireland.

The official synopsis for the seventh episode of the show reads:

"Chaos ensues after James and Tatha tell her family they’re staying in Indonesia. Joanne and Sean plan how to reveal that they’ve been married for two years. Corona tells Ingi she’s been hiding her anger from him. Statler is stunned by the look of the campervan."

90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way Season 6: Jo and Sean's relationship status disclosed

Jo, a single woman from Long Island is a Reiki healer, life coach, and psychic medium. Meanwhile, Sean is a 38-year-old from Drogheda, Ireland.

The show's latest episode revealed how Jo and Sean have been secretly married for the past two years. Neither her mother nor her kids were aware of that.

Jo confessed on the recent episode:

"We probably should have told them, I don’t know, a year ago. As nerve-wracking as it may be to make these announcements, I’m just glad to have it off my chest."

Sean has yet to meet Jo's boys. Earlier, he talked to one of Jo's sons over the phone. Sean shared that he was nervous and excited about meeting Jo’s sons.

Revealing her plans, Jo said she wanted to move to Ireland; however, her plan would depend on her sons' thoughts.

"I would love for the boys to move with me, but I share custody with their dad, and I would never take them away from him," shared Jo.

Jo also shared her thoughts with Sean that her sons would be the "decision makers" and that she couldn’t commit to him if her boys didn’t like him. She added that it was important for her boys to be 100 percent all in with her being with Sean.

Jo also shared that she is first a mom, and her boys are above Sean. She added that if her boys do not approve of her decision to move to Ireland, she won't go ahead with the plan.
