Reacher Season 3 release schedule: When do new episodes of the Prime Video's action drama drop?

Season 3 of Prime Video’s drama series Reacher is all set to premiere on February 20, 2025. The show will bring back Alan Ritchson as Jack Reacher, a retired military officer on the quest to fight crime.

Prime Video has added to the excitement by releasing the first 3 episodes together, followed by one episode every week. Season 3 will be based on author Lee Child’s book Persuader, seventh in the Jack Reacher series. This season is expected to bring in high-stakes action complete with explosions, fights and suspense.

The show is written for television by Nick Santora who also serves as showrunner and executive producer along with Child and Ritchson. Reacher is produced by Amazon MGM Studios, Skydance Television, and CBS Studios. The network had released the trailer of season 3 in January 2025.

The show’s official synopsis reads,

"Reacher hurtles into the dark heart of a vast criminal enterprise when trying to rescue an undercover DEA informant whose time is running out. There, he finds a world of secrecy and violence and confronts some unfinished business from his own past."

Reacher Season 3: What we know so far

This season we find Reacher entangled in an investigation that looks into the owner of a wealthy rug import business, who may be involved in criminal activity. Reacher joins forces with the DEA to help rescue an undercover DEA informant.

We also get flashbacks of Reacher’s military days as the story teases to bring back someone from his past named Paulie. Maria Sten from the previous season will also reprise her role as Frances Neagley, Reacher’s friend and army associate.

The others in the cast includes Olivier Richters, Johnny Berchtold, Anthony Michael Hall, Brian Tee, Sonya Cassidy, Daniel David Stewart and Roberto Montesinos among others.

Season 3 of Reacher will have 8 episodes with runtime between 40 and 52 minutes.

Reacher is a global success and has already been renewed for season 4. Per Deadline, Vernon Sanders, Head of Television, Amazon MGM Studios said,

We are looking forward to more action and adventure from the immensely talented team behind the series including Nick Santora, Alan Ritchson, Lee Child, Skydance, and CBS Studios."

Reacher premiered on Prime Video in 2022 and is based on Lee Child’s Jack Reacher books. The series follows Jack Reacher, played by Alan Ritchson, a former military officer who solves crimes and unravels conspiracies while traveling the country. A spinoff series starring Maria Sten as Frances Neagley is also in the works at the network.
