The third season of Reacher on Amazon Prime Video has all the makings to be the best on-screen adaptation of Lee Child's literary source. After the fiasco that was the second season, the third season of the Prime Video show underwent major creative overhauls before its recent premiere. With the upcoming sixth episode scheduled to release on March 13, Film Updates recently dropped an exclusive teaser video on X that contains a telling detail about what's to come on the show.
In the video, Reacher and Richard Beck are seen returning from town. As they enter the kitchen of Beck's humongous mansion, both of them are greeted by Anthony Michael Hall's Zachary Beck as he takes a bite from a plate. He then proceeds to show them their fitted tuxedos for an impending "black tie" party and asks them to try on their garments in case they need to be tailored further.
Richard appears markedly tired and scared to some extent. As he tries to nonchalantly move on, his father asks him about what's wrong and whether everything went well in town. He answers in the affirmative but Zachary Beck doesn't seem to be satisfied.
What's the latest buzz about Reacher season 3 episode 6?
The upcoming episode is titled Smoke On The Water and will take up the action directly from where the fifth episode left, i.e. the visit to Bizarre Bazar. It can be speculated that the sixth episode will once again bring Reacher face to face with his archnemesis of this season, i.e. former Army officer Quinn, who is the man behind the enormous shady operation that Reacher seeks to penetrate.
The sixth episode will drop on Prime Video on Thursday, March 13 at 3 AM ET. The episode will be forty-eight minutes in duration.
Alan Ritchson speaks about season 3
Alan Ritchson recently spoke in an interview with Forbes Magazine where he revealed taking much more interest in the production of the third season as compared to the season two debacle. He stated:
"One thing I’ll say that I’ve really taken charge of is the action, I was really unhappy with the action in Season 2—the way that it was cut with some of the fights that we had. I didn't like the way that it was directed. (I said), ‘I think we can do better in Season 3.'"
He further added:
"And I think we succeeded. I think that was really the focus of our attention in Season 3 and it looks and feels a lot better to me this year, and I think hopefully audiences can enjoy that.”
Reacher season 3 is exclusively available on Amazon Prime Video.
