Following the confirmation of Tracker Season 3 by CBS, Justin Hartley took to Instagram to share a video where he is seen thanking and congratulating the cast and crew of the show on the sets.

He acknowledged everyone’s efforts on the project and explained how the second season has garnered even better ratings than Season 1:

“I just wanted to congratulate everyone on Season 2; our numbers are up from Season 1. Something like six per cent or eight per cent or 11 per cent or something like that.”
“That hardly ever happens. It’s all thanks to you guys, and because of all the hard work you’ve done on Season 2, they have picked us up for Season 3.”

He then went on to explain that the upcoming season would have 18 to 22 episodes. Tracker premiered on CBS in February 2024 and proved to be a massive success for the network, which led to its quick renewal for a second installment. The sophomore season premiered in October 2024.

Each episode of the show depicts Colter Shaw working on a missing person’s case. In exchange, he receives rewards from government agencies and private citizens. Meanwhile, his personal life is also a high point of the narrative, as he is unable to track his father’s killer. The official logline for Season 2 reads:

“Colter Shaw, a trusted lone-wolf survivalist who, driven by the troubles of his past, uses his instincts to find the missing and collect rewards.”

Along with Hartley, the show stars Abby McEnany as Velma Bruin, Fiona Rene as Reenie Greene, Chris Lee as Randy, Floriana Lima as Camille Picket, Eric Graise as Bobby Exley, Jensen Ackles as Russell Shaw, Jennifer Morrison as Lizzy Hawking, Melissa Roxburgh as Dory Shaw, and Lee Tergesen as Ashton Shaw.

Tracker Season 2 airs new episodes on CBS every Sunday.
