The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On aired its eighth episode on December 11, 2024. The recently released episode You're Playing With Fire featured the couples, including Zaina and J.R., Aria and Scotty, Mariah and Caleb, and Sandy and Nick.
The eighth episode started with cast members J.R.,33, and Zaina, 32, discussing how they came to an "ultimatum" during dinner. The conversation that began with Zaina asking about his childhood and early life led up to their relationship.
"I know what you want as far as next steps. I just wonder if, like...I'm like, "Do I love her as much as she loves me?" Because I'm not there...."I'm ready to jump into this and do life with you. I'm like, "Man, that's....It's a lot, like...I'm just not ready to jump in right now. You know?," shared J.R.
The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On Episode 8: Zaina and J.R. discuss the "ultimatum" over a dinner
The eighth episode of The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On featured one of the couples, Zaina and J.R., discussing various things over their dinner. The cast members could be seen grilling the vegetables, after which they sat for dinner together and discussed various things.
"I didn't know who I was, and who I would become. I feel like as I get older, I'm starting to embrace who I am, and not caring what people think. You know? I am attractive. I'm tall. I'm Black. I'm going to embrace that," shared J.R.
Hearing that, Zaina told him it was "really beautiful" that he had gotten to such a place because it felt like it was "hard" for him. She appreciated her partner for growing by himself even when no one was helping him, and he had to "build himself."
The male cast member confessed that because life was "short," he wanted to "let people know" that he loved them.
"When did you realize you were in love with me?" asked Zaina.
The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On star J.R. mentioned Mexico, where he asked Zaina to become his girlfriend.
"I really cared about you as a human being and appreciated your intellect and just, like, being around you. And I was like, "I love this girl."
Later, when she mentioned whether his love for her had "changed at all," he responded that it hadn't.
However, J.R. mentioned that he sometimes wondered if he was ready to "jump in," which felt like he was not ready.
After hearing that J.R. was "not ready to jump in," Zaina mentioned they were "off" in their timelines. She also mentioned they were not on the "same page" in their relationship.
"But if you question that I love you more than me, then that's a problem. A fundamental problem in the relationship. I don't ever want to feel like I'm chasing a man.It should be a mutual thing," shared Zaina.
When J.R. asked if she felt like "chasing" him or vice versa, The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On star revealed, "sometimes." They continued their conversation further and talked more about their relationship.
