Sister Wives Season 9 Episode 2 is set to release on September 22, 2024, on TLC. Ahead of the second episode, Let There Be Light, Sister Wives star Janelle Brown opened up in a People exclusive clip, saying that her relationship with Kody Brown is over.
The clip shows Janelle conversing with her daughter Maddie, 28, while on a drive:
"Kody and I are not in communication. Our relationship is over, but we both still live in Flagstaff. Yeah, there's not been an official divorce. I don't know how to get one, and I don't need one."

Fans have already witnessed the season premiere on September 15, 2024, which revealed the latest whereabouts of the Brown family. Kody Brown was once married to Meri, Christine, Janelle, and Robyn. He is currently separated from everyone but Robyn.
Robyn and Kody could also be seen opening up about their marriage:
"We're probably doing the worse we've ever done in our marriage. It's been tough. It's been tough between us," shared Robyn.
Recently, People shared an exclusive clip where Janelle opened up about her struggles with Kody Brown.
Janelle is heard speaking to her daughter about possibly getting property in Montana. She was not sure about what would happen to their "shared" Coyote Pass property in Flagstaff, Arizona:
"It's not paid off yet. The note is due in about six months. They keep asking your dad (Kody), and he's like, 'I'm not going to make a plan 'till blah.' "
The clip also reveals the division of property among Kody's ex-wives Meri, Janelle, and Christine, while he is still married to Robyn. Janelle and Kody own the first two acres out of it:
"So the first two-acre lot right now is Kody and I. The second two-acre lot is Kody and Robyn. The third is a four-acre lot, and it's Meri, myself, and Kody."
Janelle revealed that, technically, the seller could "take back the entire purchase."
"I’m sure your dad's going to want to pay that off right?" asks Janelle.
In response, Maddie looks at the camera, uncertain about her response. Later, Janelle also confesses that Kody has not been serious about this situation.
