"No such thing as perfect" — Love is Blind: Germany star Ilias opens up about his instant connection with Alina

The debut season of Love is Blind: Germany aired on the OTT platform, Netflix on Jan 03, 2025, and it has already given fans a lot to talk about. With three couples getting engaged in the first two episodes to Alberto having an emotional over Fabio, things are already turned up in the pods.

Ilias, a real estate agent, and Alina, an account manager, form a connection in the very first minute of their first date. They found so much in common between them from the same star sign to their belief in spirituality, that Ilias couldn't even find one flaw in Love is Blind: Germany's Alian. He opens up about how their connection seems too good to be true to him.

After feeling an instant vibe match between the two on their first date, the two met again. During their second date, Alina and Ilias bonded further when the two teased each other about whether they slept with their clothes on or off. Ilias then throws a serious question at Alina if there's anything from her past that she wouldn't want to experience again in life.

This is when Love is Blind: Germany star opens up about her failed relationships. She talks about how she has never had any luck when it comes to love. When she accepts the fact that she has been, at times, superficial in her life, Ilias appreciates her for the attitude she carries about life.

Soon after, Ilias expresses how Alian is making a deep impact on him and how he is scared that things are too good to be true.

He further shares his emotions before the camera,

""Honestly, I haven't found anything about Alina where I'd say, 'That doesn't work.' But to me, there's no such thing as perfect. There's always something that's not quite right."

Even though he had his doubts, he decided to be completely honest with his number 1 connection. On their next date, Ilais nervously opens up to Alian about one of his past mistakes. He reveals how he cheated in a relationship at the age of 19. This came as a surprise to Alina as honesty in a relationship is a top priority for her.

Love is Blind: Germany's Alina says yes to Ilias

During their next date after Ilias reveals his secret, he expresses his relief when Alian shows up, after sleeping on her feelings about his infidelity in the past. As the two realize that they exchange mutual feelings, the 26-year-old decides to get down on one knee and ask Alina to marry him, to which she agrees, blushing and jumping in excitement.
