The Sandman is a famous series on Netflix. Neil Gaiman's comic served as the inspiration for the fantasy drama. It tells the story of Morpheus (Tom Sturridge). As per the storyline, he’s the embodiment of dreams and has spent 106 years in captivity. After escaping, he aims to bring his realm, the Dreaming, back into balance.
Boyd Holbrook, Vivienne Acheampong, and Patton Oswalt appear in the series and they have won accolades for its realistic adaptation, captivating story, and eye-catching visuals. The first season debuted in August 2022.
The Sandman: Season 2 is all set to release in different volumes. The filming first began in 2023 but due to all the delays the season 2 got split in 2 volumes and the first volume will release on July 3, 2025. Netflix has also shared the release date for the second volume and this will happen on July 24, 2025 - this would be done with new characters and more intricate plotlines, delving further into Dream's journey.

In Season 1, Dream is apprehended by humans and imprisoned for more than a century and when eventually escapes, he discovers his country in ruins. He embarks on a trip to recreate the Dreaming and reclaim the instruments that grant him power. Along the trip, he encounters escaping dreams, mystical beings, and begins to consider his purpose and choices.
The season concludes with important events. Dream defeats the nightmare Corinthian and keeps Rose Walker, a dream vortex, from destroying the dream world. At the same time, Lucifer in Hell teases a plot to confront Dream, laying the groundwork for a larger drama in the following season.
The Sandman will return for a second season for which the filming began in 2023, but was delayed by industry strikes and modifications in the schedule. But production has resumed its normal course.
