My Lady Jane fans have joined forces to plead for the reunion of the Amazon Prime Video show, especially after it received a stellar 95% rating from Rotten Tomatoes. However, after season 1 ended with 8 episodes, Prime Video announced its cancellation shortly after.

Distraught fans have put forth a Change.org petition urging the production hub to renew My Lady Jane for season 2. The petition has already gained a whopping 55,000 signatures, with more coming in by the minute! The petition’s website echoes the hopes of fans who express their solemn desire for the show to return for a new season. It reads:

“We are calling upon Amazon Prime to listen to the voices of fans around the globe and confirm the renewal of My Lady Jane for a second season.”

Additionally, other die-hard fans have also created another site, Save My Lady Jane, followed by a GoFundMe page that would donate all funds to the production hub should there have been budgetary cuts.

Apart from the petition, fans have taken it upon themselves to personally express compelling reasons for renewing My Lady Jane through video references. While some claimed the series was rather refreshing, like Bridgerton, others expressed their curiosity about protagonists Guildford and Jane’s romance. Another perplexed fan questioned:

“Who said it won’t gain more traction during season 2?”

Likewise, several devout viewers and fans of My Lady Jane are still urging Prime Video to reconsider and give the show another shot.

Why was My Lady Jane canceled?

My Lady Jane was primarily canceled due to low viewership rates. The streaming platform broke the news last month, leaving several fans flabbergasted by the decision. Moreover, the show was canceled since it failed to be included in Nielsen’s top 10 for an original show produced by streaming platforms.

Another plausible cause for cancellation is a release overlap of shows—Prime Video dropped The Boys Season 4 during the same week My Lady Jane aired. Furthermore, since The Boys already had a good rapport, it’s possible that viewership focused more on that than on My Lady Jane.

Despite fervent online petitions and requests for the renewal of My Lady Jane, at the moment, the show stands canceled. However, with the petition having received a multitude of global responses and a gradually growing fandom, there is a silver lining for renewal. Thus far, Prime Video hasn’t commented on the recent petition.

My Lady Jane is an intertwined genre of history, romance, fantasy, and drama. Although there isn’t a season 2, viewers can enjoy all 8 episodes of the show on Amazon Prime Video.
