The finale episode of The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On revealed which couple got engaged and who said no to their respective partners. One of the couples featured in the Netflix show was Sandy and Nick. The latter issued the "Ultimatum."
In the show's finale episode, when the couples were supposed to share their "Ultimate" answer, Sandy didn't want to move forward with Nick in their relationship.
Later in the episode, Nick confessed:
"I was hoping to leave here engaged to Sandy and, uh...And I'm leaving here alone. When I went to reach in my pocket, my heart dropped into my stomach because I could tell that she was fearful. I just don't want to be with somebody that's so afraid to be with me. It's f***ing real. It sucks. Okay."
The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On: Nick opens up about his "Ultimatum Day" with Sandy
The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On's finale featured four couples. One of them was Sandy and Nick. During the "Ultimatum Day," Sandy shared that she loved Nick with "all her heart." Nick also reciprocated the same feelings.
"...Like every fiber in me. I love all of you," shared Sandy.
Nick said he wanted "nothing more" than to have Sandy as his fiance after the experiment ended. He mentioned how he had been looking forward to "planning a marriage" and spending their lives together.
"I feel like I've never been more in love with you and more committed to the change and the growth that would make be a better partner and the change and the growth that I know I can implement into our relationship," shared Nick.
He added that he was "so deeply" in love with Sandy.
Later, when Nick tried to grab something from his jacket pocket, Sandy thought that he was getting the ring box from his pocket. She asked him what he was doing and seemed nervous as she paused and closed her eyes momentarily.
Recalling those moments from their "Ultimatum Day" during the reunion, Sandy and Nick shared what had happened since the show ended.
"Because I just don't and we've been through so much hell but I still love you, I would've wanted you to have...an honest experience. I'm sorry that I f***** it up for you in whatever way."
On the other hand, Sandy mentioned that Nick's behavior didn't stop after the show. She noted that it wasn't just "that day or week" but has been going for the "last year" on The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On reunion.
"It's been a lot....I'm really exhausted with my relationship with Nick," shared Sandy.
The female cast member shared that she felt "bombarded" with communications. She added that Nick crossed "many boundaries." Nick also accepted that she and J.R. couldn't pursue their connection because of his behavior with Sandy. He mentioned that he "got in the way."
