“My champion”: America's Got Talent winner Richard Goodall praises Heidi Klum for her support

America's Got Talent Season 19 premiered its finale episode on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, on NBC at 9 pm ET.

Terry Crews, the host of the show, announced its winner at the end of the star-studded night, and American voters chose Richard Goodall as their season 19 winner. The 55-year-old elementary school Janitor went viral from his TikTok video Don't Stop Believing.

Goodal was the first Golden Buzzer receiver of Season 19 of America's Got Talent, and Heidi Klum was the judge who pressed the Golden Buzzer for the Indiana singer in his audition round in episode 1.

Klum has been a constant supporter of Goodall, along with all three judges, Simon, Sofia, and Howie. After his final performance in episode 19, finale round, Heidi Klum went ahead to say that she wanted him to win this competition.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly on September 24, 2024, 11:01 PM EDT, after winning the show, he expressed his immense gratitude and praise for his Golden Buzzer judge, Heidi Klum. He said:

"She's always been my champion. I mean, through all four songs, and she's just always been so amazing to me."

America's Got Talent winner, Richard Goodall discussed what he would do with the prize money

The winner of Season 19, of America's Got Talent, Richard Goodall shared his plans after the show, and how he was planning to spend his $1 million prize money.

He joined Entertainment Weekly for an interview on September 24, 2024, and opened up about his experience on the show, and many more things.

When asked by the interviewer about his job as a janitor after winning America's Got Talent, and whether he will be continuing it or not, he said:

"I mean, yeah, I plan to for a while still yet, and then invest a little, and then plan smart. [His wife] Angela and I, we think everything out together. We don't make any plans other than what we talk about together."

He further mentioned that he and his wife are very conservative people when it comes to money, and therefore, they have not panned much about it. Richard confessed that nothing extravagant is coming in the future and he plans to live a simple life by investing the money wisely. He added:

"we just try to be conservative about it. We have no idea or expectations of what's coming ahead."

America's Got Talent Season 19 is available on NBC to watch. Fans can tune into Peacock to watch episode 20, the finale episode that will air on September 25.
