The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Season 1 was full of challenges for Zac and Jennifer Affleck. The couple had many disagreements, whether it was due to Jen attending a Chippendales show in Las Vegas, her being a part of MomTok, or Zac potentially relocating to New York for medical school. Zac even threatened Jennifer with a divorce after she went to the Vegas male strip show.

The Mormon Wives' relationship seemed quite vulnerable by the Season 1 finale, but things have apparently improved now. After Hulu dropped the trailer for the next iteration, Jennifer Affleck spoke with a TooFab correspondent. Talking about how Season 2 explores her marriage with Zac, Jen told the outlet at an event in Beverly Hills,

“You'll see a lot of the ugliness during Season 2 but we're in a way better place now through therapy and… and time and effort. [...] We're in a way better place, and I'm so grateful for everything we went through last year, truly.”

During the brief chat, Jennifer Affleck was also asked about her taking Zac back to Vegas, which sparked tensions between them in Season 1. The reality TV star revealed,

“It was his idea [returning to the male strip show].That's part of our therapy. That was exposure therapy.”

She continued,

“We really have been working through everything. When I tell you we've been doing a hardcore therapy, it's not just one hour a month, it's like eight hours a week. I mean, that's how seriously we've taken our relationship."

Jen also reflected upon facing mental health issues during the last season and credited her husband for being supportive and helping her get through everything.

Jennifer Affleck reflected upon her emotional six months with an Instagram post in March

The mother of two, who announced her third pregnancy in February, looked back at her six-month-long emotional journey in an Instagram Reel last month. The video compilation captured many private moments that Jennifer Affleck shared with her kids, husband, and other family members.

The reality TV star also recorded her pregnancy and thanked her “mentors, therapists, and healers” in the caption for supporting her. Jen wrote,

“There’s so much more to our story than many realize. This journey is ongoing, and there’s still so much to learn. We can only take it one step at a time.”

She continued,

“I’m truly grateful for the mentors, therapists, and healers who have supported us along the way, as well as everyone who has shown their love and support—whether through a message or a simple hug in person. Your kindness has helped me heal in ways I can’t fully express. Love you all.”

In her conversation with People Magazine in February, Jennifer Affleck shared the challenges she faced during her third pregnancy. Jen told the magazine,

“I thought having two kids back-to-back was tough, but this has taken things to a whole new level.”

Jennifer Affleck recently confirmed to TooFab that she is 30 weeks pregnant, with her due date being July 2. Before Jen and Zac welcome their third child, they will be seen on screen with the premiere of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Season 2 on May 15.
