Guy Ritchie’s new drama series MobLand will premiere on Paramount+ on March 30, 2025. The much anticipated series from the celebrated filmmaker has a stellar star cast comprising Pierce Brosnan, Tom Hardy and Helen Mirren. The story follows Brosnan’s character, who is the head of an organized crime family.
The show was initially being developed under the working title ‘The Donovans’ with the hope that it will be a spinoff of the hit series ‘Ray Donovan.’ Nonetheless, MobLand was amended to ensure no relations to the original series once Brosnan and Hardy came onboard. The production for MobLand began in late 2024.
The crime drama series will be produced in association with MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios. MobLand is executive produced by Keith Cox, Nina L. Diaz, David C. Glasser, Ritchie, Jez Butterworth, Kris Thykier, Ronan Bennett, Ivan Atkinson, Tom Hardy, Dean Baker, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, and Bob Yari.
Guy Ritchie, who is no stranger to crime shows, is currently working on other series such as The Gentlemen on Netflix and Young Sherlock on Prime Video. Previously, he created other popular projects including Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Revolver, Snatch and RocknRolla.
Fans of the filmmaker took to social media to show their eagerness towards the upcoming series. A fan exclaimed on X,
