TLC recently premiered Sister Wives Season 19 on September 15, 2024. The show features primary cast members from the Brown family. Kody Brown, the head of the family, is married to four Sister Wives - Meri Brown, Janelle Brown, Christine Brown, and Robyn Brown.

Of the four wives, Janelle Brown's son Robert Garrison died a few months ago, on March 5, 2024, by suicide. Since then, the family members have been grieving the loss, as showcased in the first episode.

On September 5, 2024, a few days before the show premiered, Janelle's daughter Madison, 28, penned an emotional post on Instagram. She posted a photo of her brother with one of her children and mentioned how she misses her brother Garrison every day,

"I miss him dearly, and the truth is, I don't know how to talk about this. His death took us all by surprise. It leaves me wondering—if we talked about mental health more openly, could something have changed? I'll never know for sure. But what I do know is that the hurt doesn't go away. It just transfers. And sometimes, it feels amplified."

Sister Wives star Madison shares a heartfelt post in memory of her late brother Garrison

During the Sister Wives Season 19 premiere, TLC also featured a tribute to the late Robert Garrison, 25, who died a few months back by suicide. For the viewers who don't know, Robert Garrison is one of the 18 children Kody Brown shares with his four wives.

Parents Kody and Janelle Brown, along with their family members, could still be seen surrounded by sadness. Garrison's sister, Madison, shared an Instagram post, sharing about missing her brother,

"It's been six months since this beautiful soul left us, and not a day goes by that I don't think about him. In some ways, it feels like he crosses my mind even more now, which might be a sad truth for many who've lost someone in this way."

Madison also shared how "many people" get touched by such loss and how every day, she gets to know people like her, who get "blindsided" through such a "sudden absence" of their loved one.

Madison's post further read,

"My brother, Garrison, had his struggles, but this was not something any of us saw any signs for. We were truly blindsided. We talked regularly, and my mom's kids have always been close-knit, even as life changed around us. Garrison was sarcastic and witty, and in moments of seriousness, he seemed almost uncomfortable with it—like it was hard for him to be vulnerable."

She also said her heart was with anyone "touched" by "this kind of loss." The Sister Wives cast member added that "no one" is alone in their "pain" and that it's "okay" not to have all the "answers."

Fans can stream Sister Wives Season 19 on TLC, which airs new episodes every Sunday at 10 pm ET.
