Netflix released the remaining episodes of Outlast Season 2 on September 11, 2024. The last episode, i.e., Episode 8, Winners Are Made, featured Delta teammate Joey returning from the competitor, i.e., Bravo camp. He left without notifying anyone and took the boat.
Later, when his teammates discovered this, they were unhappy. Before Joey came back to the Delta camp, Joseph, Brendon, and Eric discussed what to do about the situation.
After they agreed to let Joey at their camp, Joseph had a conversation with Joey. Seeing this, Joey was quite emotional as he did not expect it.
"There's a bit of… shame…of … Of going over and, you know, pitching yourself and getting denied. And then they (team Delta) just welcomed me back with open arms. And that mended a lot of broken strings in my core," confessed Joey.
What happened with Joey after he returned to Delta Camp in the Outlast Season 2 finale episode?
Outlast Season 2 Episode 8 featured Delta teammate Joey rowing back from Bravo camp. He left without notifying anyone, and everyone knew that Joey was not at the camp. Joseph and Brendon were discussing Joey's whereabouts inside their tent. Soon, Eric notified them that Joey was at the Bravo camp.
While Joey was coming back in the boat, Eric spotted him,
"That's not a team player. Yep. I knew something was not right. I've had that sensation from day three. That's why I've been an a**hole to him." Eric said.
Joey mentioned that he couldn't find anything to eat while he rowed back. He mentioned going to "the point." Eric then confronted Joey about his whereabouts and had an intense conversation.
"I mean, I kind of pitched myself, but also, they don't need to know that," confessed Joey.
In the Outlast Season 2 finale episode, Delta teammates discussed whether Joey was trying to "jump ship." Later, Joseph had a conversation with Joey at the shoreline.
Joey mentioned that he was "so close" to his breaking point. To that, Joseph asked, to flaring out (eliminating) or switching sides? Joey then confessed that he went to the Bravo camp because he "just wanted" to go there.
While Joey and Joseph were conversing, Brendon listened to it from a distance.
"I ain't gonna lie. I was disappointed, I was sad. But me being a man of God and trying not to judge, I give him the benefit of the doubt. Even though I don't want to, I believe in forgiveness. That's just the way of my life, man," confessed Joseph.
He then told Joey not to let his mind "get the best of him." He talked about not giving up and then hugged Joey.
Joey confessed during the eighth episode of Outlast Season 2 that he was expecting "something completely different,"
"So Joseph comes down. He really kind of leans in and says exactly what I needed to hear and just asks me to stay. I don't think he really fully knew what that meant to me."
Seeing them hugging, Brendon came and told Joey to stay with them and to "dig deep." He also came down to the shore and hugged Joey.
