Since its premiere in 2021, Mayor of Kingstown has been a popular show. Created by Taylor Sheridon and Hugh Dillon, the show features Jeremy Renner as the protagonist, Mike McLuksy, who becomes the mayor of Kingstown after the death of his elder brother Mitch.

After uncertainty regarding Renner’s return as Mike followed his snow plow accident in 2023, the show continued as usual since the actor recovered well and returned.

After its intense third season, Mayor of Kingstown is now preparing for its fourth installment, and viewers can expect several new characters.

Season 3 saw a lot of deaths, so it is no wonder that new characters are being introduced in Mayor of Kingstown Season 4.

While it was reported a few days back that Clayton Cardenas would join the fourth season's cast, three new actors, Edie Falco, Laura Benanti, and Lennie James, are all set to participate as essential characters.

Let us now explore in detail the new cast members of Mayor of Kingstown Season 4 and the roles they will be portraying.

Mayor of Kingstown Season 4 has pulled in heavyweight actors

As previously mentioned, Mayor of Kingstown Season 4 will see a bunch of new actors. The list includes

  • Edie Falco of Nurse Jackie, The Sopranos fame
  • Laura Benanti of No Hard Feelings, Younger fame
  • Lennie James of Save Me, The Walking Dead fame.

As reported by Paramount+, Falco plays Nina Hobbs, the new prison warden of Anchor Bay. Benanti will portray Cindy Stephens, a new correctional officer recruited at Kingstown.

Lastly, James is cast as Frank Moses, described as “a legendary gangster respected in the city of Detroit, the state of Michigan, and well beyond.”

More about Mayor of Kingstown Season 4

The intense finale that Mayor of Kingstown Season 3 had ended with saw a lot of characters dead, and besides Mike, the surviving ones included Ian (Hugh Dillon), Robert (Hamish Allan-Headley), Kyle (Taylor Handley), Evelyn (Necar Zadegan), and Bunny (Tobi Bamtefa).

Now, with the inclusion of new characters and the fact that the Season 3 ending hinted at the Russian mafia family storyline heading for an end, Hugh Dillon mentioned to The Hollywood Reporter that it:

“leaves a vacuum [that] will be filled.”

Therefore, the fourth season will likely pick up where the third season ended and explore new plot points with these new characters. The power shift in Kingstown is also very likely to be explored.

Taylor Sheridan, Hugh Dillon, and Jeremy Renner serve as the executive producers for the show.

Dave Erickson is the showrunner and is another executive producer. Other executive producers for the show include Antoine Fuqua, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, David C. Glasser, Wendy Riss, Keith Cox, and Evan Perazzo.

Mayor of Kingstown can be streamed on Paramount+.
