Marvel is gearing up for another highly anticipated Vision TV series on Disney+, bringing back Paul Bettany to the Marvel Cinematic Universe after his portrayal in WandaVision alongside Elizabeth Olsen. The previous series majorly focused on Olsen's Wanda and her enemy, Agatha Harknes, but in this upcoming show, fans will explore the synthezoid character's journey.

As reported by Deadline, actor Faran Tahir will reprise his role as Raza Hamidmi al-Wazar, a villain from Iron Man (2008), in the upcoming Vision series. He was one of the bad guys in the film, who failed to kill Iron Man despite being the leader of the 10 Rings terrorist group.

The series serves as the spin-off to WandaVision, the series that brought Wanda's husband back to the screens after he died in Avengers: Infinity War (2018). The character was first seen as the creation of Wanda Maximoff, and later became a new version of himself, devoid of memories.

Faran Tahir to play Raza Hamidmi al-Wazar in Marvel's Vision series

Marvel enthusiasts have been waiting for the return of Paul Bettany as Vision since 2022, and now it is expected to hit the screens sometime in 2026. What's even more intriguing is the recent casting news of Faran Tahir as Raza Hamidmi al-Wazar, the villain who appeared almost more than half a decade ago in the Robert Downey Jr. starrer film.

Along with Bettany and Tahir's characters, the upcoming series will also include other Marvel characters like James Spader's Ultron. Exact details have been kept hidden, but we do know that the show will see Vision working to regain his memory and humanity after his death, followed by his resurrection in Olsen's show.

During Paul Bettany's interview with The Hollywood Reporter last year, the actor teased a few details about his upcoming show and said:

"We’re cooking up something that I’m really excited about."

The actor also praised Agatha All Along saying:

"I am going to watch again because there’s so much for me to learn moving forward into my contribution."

The actor explained that he is paying attention to the details as his character is going to have a TV series as well. Production is reportedly set to begin this year, and no release date has been confirmed so far.
