“Justice for Tanya”: Jennifer Coolidge shares she wants Greg to ‘go down’ in The White Lotus Season 3

Jennifer Coolidge might not be returning to The White Lotus Season 3, but her character, Tanya McQuoid, continues to be a part of the narrative in spirit. The fan-favorite character died in the season 2 finale after a murder plot by her husband, Greg.

Greg has returned in the new season of the HBO drama, taking up the alias Gary. Jennifer, who is being missed by the show’s fans, has now shared her thoughts on the third chapter, stating she wants justice for Tanya and wants Greg to be punished for his crimes in season 3. She said in an interview with Deadline:

“I mean, I’m praying there’s some justice for Tanya. You know, Greg was a creep. He needs to go down.”

Jennifer Coolidge wishes to see Greg’s downfall in The White Lotus Season 3, but she also said that she is not aware of how things are eventually going to pan out for the character:

“No one is giving me any information about how this is gonna go down.”

The actress added the storyline keeps getting darker and more interesting, which is bound to initiate discussions among the audience:

“I just think it continues to be really interesting, really dark and then we all have to talk about it afterwards. I think it’s a really good sign.”

Jennifer went on to praise series creator Mike White, calling him a genius who is always surprising the audience:

“Mike White has no apologies, he goes for what he wants to do. He doesn’t check with anyone else. He writes a story that he wants to tell, and I just think he’s a genius.”

Jennifer was a main cast member on The White Lotus seasons 1 and 2. In the first installment, she arrived at the resort in Maui and had a whirlwind romance with Greg. She later got married to him, and the couple visited the resort in Sicily together in season 2.

However, Tanya was unaware that Greg was actually after her money and plotted her murder with his friends, which eventually led to her death. Meanwhile, The White Lotus Season 3 continues to keep the audience hooked with its morally ambiguous characters and twisted storyline.

The new season stars the likes of Leslie Bibb, Jason Isaacs, Parker Posey, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Carrie Coon, Walton Goggins, and Lalisa Manobal. Jon Gries reprises his role as Gary, aka Greg, along with Natasha Rothwell as Belinda Lindsey.

The White Lotus Season 3 airs new episodes on HBO on Sundays.
