Jin of BTS does not stop surprising the ARMY and the world. He blends music, variety, and "acting" (it was a commercial; however, fans are already referring to this as his "soft acting debut.")
Now, Jin of BTS, aka Worldwide Handsome, a nickname he told Jimmy Fallon with such poker face that was self-given, is set to be back to the TV show Handsome Guys, and we have a window for his appearance: May 2025. Yes, on the same month he will be releasing his solo album, ECHO.

Jin of BTS: Everywhere all at once all the time
Jin of BTS is everywhere—and he’s just getting started. After shaking the industry with Happy, his first solo album post-enlistment, the Worldwide Handsome is already gearing up for his next release.
Echo is set to arrive in May, and it won’t be coming alone. That same month, Jin is officially confirmed to return to tvN’s Handsome Guys for a brand-new appearance. Music, variety, acting—he’s doing it all, and doing it his way.
Run Jin, but don’t run from the spotlight
While Run Jin—his solo variety journey—heads toward a bittersweet conclusion, the star power behind it is only growing. Fans have followed his chaotic brilliance and grounded sweetness through every episode. And now, as the show wraps, there’s a sense of transformation in the air. Jin isn’t stepping back. He’s stepping further in.
Back to the Handsome Guys
Jin’s return to Handsome Guys in May is already creating buzz. The show, known for its offbeat missions and buddy energy, gave him one of his most beloved post-military moments when he first appeared alongside Cha Tae Hyun and Lee Yi Kyung. That appearance wasn’t a one-off—it was a spark. And with his confirmed comeback, expectations are higher than ever.

B&B chaos, but make it Netflix-worthy
Meanwhile, Kian’s Bizarre B&B—Jin's debut Netflix project with Kian84 and Ji Ye-eun—is still airing and climbing charts. In Korea, the series reached the No.1 spot on the platform’s Top 10. While the total global numbers haven’t dropped yet, local performance suggests something huge is brewing. Jin of BTS isn’t just surviving in variety—he’s redefining it. Plus, the show was also figured in the daily Top 10 of Netflix in 13 countries, amongst which are: Brasil, the Philippines and Indonesia.
Jin of BTS: From acting student to star of everything
Long before he became BTS’s Worldwide Handsome, Jin was walking a very different path. He was a theater major, studying acting with the dream of becoming an actor, until a BigHit scout spotted him on the street. That detour changed pop culture forever.
But now, in 2025, it feels like he’s circling back to that original dream. Now we can see lots of sides of the so-talented Jin of BTS: the variety show funny guy, and can you imagine in a k-drama soon? That is not dreaming high, considering V of BTS has starred in Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth, which is also known as Hwarang: The Beginning.
Seokjin's recent commercial for Jin Ramen didn’t just go viral—it hit emotional beats straight out of a primetime drama. Melodrama, longing gazes, thunderous silence—it had it all. And many fans are already calling it his “soft K-drama debut.”
He also brought emotional weight to the OST of When the Stars Gossip, a sci-fi drama starring Lee Min Ho and Gong Hyo Jin. With Close to You, Jin didn’t need to appear on screen to steal the show. His voice did the work—subtle, aching, unforgettable.
Is Actor Jin just around the corner?
Between high-profile variety hits, a top-ranked Netflix run, a CF that broke the internet, and a haunting OST, past collaboration with Coldplay, bearer of the Olympic Torch last year in France, Jin is weaving something bigger than a comeback. It feels like a prelude. A warm-up act for a scripted role the ARMY have waited years to see.
Until then, fans can enjoy the ride. And maybe run to your local Korean-food store and get some packages of Jin Ramen and/or keep a bowl of Jin Ramen ready—just in case he shows up in the next scene. (Note: This not not an informercial, but what can we do if the man has a ramen which shares his name? The meta-reference was there, why not use it?)
