“It’s an honor”— Daniel Lubetzky discusses being a “regular shark” on Shark Tank Season 16

Shark Tank Season 16 has promoted the guest shark, Daniel Lubetzky, to the full-time panelist along with Mark Cuban, Barbara Corcoran, Lori Greiner, Robert Herjavec, Daymond John, and Kevin O'Leary.

Mark Cuban has announced his departure from the show in November 2023 and will be gracing the chair of the business reality TV series for the last time.

Daniel Lubetzky, who is a founder of KIND Snacks, and Builders Movement, joined the show as a guest shark in season 2 and has been a vital of the show since. Daniel took to Instagram on September 19 to announce his arrival as a full-time investor in the upcoming season 16 of the Shark Tank, which is set to premiere on October 18.

Daniel Lubetzky posted that his main aim as a regular investor would be boasting the budding entrepreneurs to realize the American dream. He was grateful for his new position in the show and mentioned that he was looking forward to joining the other sharks.

The post stated:

"It’s an honor to be part of a production that continues to educate, entertain, and unite Americans behind the spirit of building together."

Shark Tank Season 16 has got a new full-time shark

ABC, the official broadcast network of Shark Tank announced in September 2024 that Daniel Lubetzky will assume the role of a regular shark in season 16.

Daniel has appeared in five seasons so far as a recurring investor, but this season he will sit with the panel and help the budding entrepreneurs in their journey to success. He is a successful founder of KIND Snacks which revolutionized the way people snack in America.

As reported by Deadline, the executive producer of the show, Clay Newbill stated that after being on five seasons as a guest investor, Daniel has earned his place on the permanent chair of the Shark Tank. He further added:

"He is a self-made founder of a multibillion-dollar company, has all the qualities we look for in a Shark, and possesses an authentic desire to help entrepreneurs grow their businesses. Daniel is a welcome addition to our panel, and we look forward to working with him for many seasons to come.”

Daniel also mentioned in his Instagram announcement that he imagined his parents to be proud of him. He said that his father, who is no more, hopefully would be seeing him from above. He further said that whatever he has achieved is with the help of the values that he got from them.


Season 16 of Shark Tank will be hitting the small screens on October 18, at 8 pm ET on ABC. Viewers can tune in to Hulu to stream the episode a day later.
