For All Mankind actress Krys Marshall recently spoke to ScreenRant and possibly hinted that in the fifth season, Danielle Poole's relationship with Ed Baldwin might see a troubled shift.
The show has a critics rating of 92% on Rotten Tomatoes. The Apple TV+ series is set in an alternate historical timeline where the Soviet Union is the first to land on the moon. The four seasons that have been released have hopped over decades. The first begins in 1969 and is set in the 70s, season 2 unfolds over the 80s, season 3 is in the 90s, and season 4 takes place in the 2000s.
What did Krys Marshall tease about Ed & Danielle's Broken Relationship in For All Mankind Season 5?
ScreenRant interviewed actress Krys Marshall, who plays Danielle Poole in For All Mankind. After joking about feeling worried about getting sued by Apple for revealing details about the fifth season, Marshall said:
"You are looking For All Mankind spoilers? Honey, I don't want Apple to sue me and sue you and sue y'all. So, I'm going to leave it at that. I'll just say, season 5 is really good. Thank you so much for your loyalty and love of the show. You're going to love it. It keeps on keeping on."
It seems that Ed and Danielle’s relationship will be strained in As For All Mankind's fifth season. It seems that the writers will find a way to further advance the tension between Ed and Danielle. In the fourth season, Ed and Danielle had a brutal argument, after which she suggested the former take a break from flight duty. The upcoming season is set to address the outcome of their argument.
What is For All Mankind about?
The popular series tells the story of what humanity would be like if the space race continued after the Soviet landing on the moon in 1969.
Creator and showrunner Ronald D. Moore explained the alternate timeline in a Collider interview with Liz Shannon Miller. When asked about divergence point, Moore answered:
"Our point of divergence was that Korolev (Sergei Korolev, the father of the Soviet space program) lives, and that somehow, he was able to pull all the bureaucratic pieces together and the technological challenges, and he made their moon landing happen. That was the point of divergence for us. We had always tried to figure out a way to mention it, but there was never an organic, easy way to casually say that somebody did not die in an operation, so we never quite figured out a way to really cement that into the story."
While the release date of the fifth season isn't out yet, you can catch all four seasons of For All Mankind on Apple TV+. Apart from the fifth season, there's also a spin-off series titled "Star City," which is in production.
