'I'm so nervous": Blackpink's Lisa shares filming experience of The White Lotus for HBO

HBO's critically acclaimed series The White Lotus is back with its Season 3 on Sunday, February 16.

The show's synopsis, which debuted in July 2021, reads as,

"each passing day, a darker complexity emerges in these picture-perfect travelers, the hotel's cheerful employees, and the idyllic locale itself".

Season 3 will take the audience to the exotic location of Thailand, where a new group of rich white people will stay at the titular luxury resort.

The ensemble cast for Season 3 includes A-listers like Leslie Bibb, Carrie Coon, Walton Goggins, Michelle Monaghan, Parker Posey, and Aimee Lou Wood.

In addition, Lisa, a member of the famous Korean group Blackpink, will also make her acting debut in Season 3. She is credited as Lalisa Manobal on the show.

Recently, she shared her experience of acting for the first time on The White Lotus Season 3.

Following her other bandmates, Jennie and Jisoo's footsteps, Blackpink's Lisa is also set to try her hands at acting with The White Lotus Season 3.

Lisa will play a resort employee Mook at the Thailand location of the titular luxury resort, where vacationers come for a week of frenzy and madness.

Considering it is her very first acting gig, Lisa was nervous on the first day of shooting when director Mike White called 'Action', as she tells Variety:

“I’m so nervous. I was sweating. I was like, ‘I can’t remember my lines.’ I’m blanked.”

But, she soon calmed herself and gave her best shot, thanks to the support of her experienced co-stars:

“It is my first acting [experience] so I don’t know what to expect on set” but everybody just being so supportive helped me a lot. So thank you, everyone.”

The White Lotus Seasons 1 and 2, set in Hawaii and Sicily, were huge hits, earning 15 Primetime Emmy and 2 Golden Globe Awards. The third installment, set in Thailand, will also see actress Natasha Rothwell reprise her role as Belinda from Season 1. She was not a part of the ensemble cast in Season 2.

In addition, Lisa also shared how she is excited for her very first acting project:

“I don’t know what to feel right now. I’m just so excited. I can’t wait for all of you guys to watch this show,”

When asked about her future plans in acting, she said she had no projects on her plate right now, but would love to do an action movie with a strong female character.
