Emily Schromm and Johnny Bananas shared various stories from her time on The Challenge 40. She shared her views on fellow participant Laurel and her relationship with her on the show. Emily also talked about how she believed in signs.
While Emily thought her conflict-handling abilities had not been so strong, Johnny Bananas felt otherwise.

The September 19, 2024, episode of Death, Taxes, and Bananas podcast featured The Challenge 40 alum Emily Schromm. After her elimination from the reality show, Emily, a dear friend of Johnny, talked about various things while on the show.
Emily shared an incident about placing flowers wherever she goes to "release" bad energy.
"Okay, so I would leave flowers out in different places because Vietnam, as you know, it has been through some s***. So I always try to like burn incense and put flowers and just try to release bad energy, and in place of the flower was a giant praying mantis, and it was so big, and that's one of my biggest omens that comes like a praying mantis will show up on the best day of my life."
She then talked about one incident when a praying mantis was spotted, and it "tilted" his head and "looked" at Laurel.
"I was like, 'Oh, she's, I know she's going to throw it.' I just know it. I just know that this is going to happen."
Later on, when The Challenge 40 alum Emily mentioned that she was "a little bit bummed" because she thought that she won't be going "to do a show again." Upon learning of this, Johnny told her,
"Yes, you will. No, it's not. No, it's not. I will not allow it to be it, okay, because here's the thing about The Challenge, it's like, Emily, you can't say that you went on and you made every single decision like, you can't say there was a little bit of that you had to knock some rust off. Okay."
Further, when Johnny mentioned not getting "distracted" by "big bearded liver-king-type-guys," Emily disagreed.
"Oh, wait, wait, wait. No, no, no. That was not a distraction. This, let's not say that, was a distraction. Let's say that was like, that was helpful to, like, get through some of this stuff but I also understand what you're saying."
She then said that she was not great at "conflict." In response, Johnny revealed she was not "not great" at conflict. However, he mentioned that,
"I actually love the way you handle conflict sometimes. Because when you aren't f***** with somebody and when you, like, are not in the mood for a person's BS, you let them know it, and I absolutely love that about you."
Johnny added that Emily doesn't "pretend" and be "nice" when she doesn't like somebody and that he loved that quality of Emily.
