Netflix recently released the Love is Blind UK finale episodes on August 21, 2024. These included episodes 10 and 11, which showcased couples’ wedding ceremonies. Fans finally learned who ended up getting married and who was not yet ready to make the life-long commitment to their respective partners.
One of the couples was Jasmine and Bobby, who seemed happy together since they had connected through the pods on Love is Blind UK. As their wedding date was approaching, they had been getting various thoughts. In one such incident, Jasmine’s mother, Marisa, who earlier seemed okay with Jasmine getting married, then shared her opinions about Bobby.
Since that chat with her mother, Jasmine has had doubts and been overwhelmed. While she was getting ready, Jasmine opened up to her friends:
"As someone who’s done nothing but follow her lead, whatever she’s wanted, I’ve done. I feel overwhelmed."
Love is Blind UK: Did Jasmine consider her mother’s opinion?
During Love is Blind UK episode 11, Jasmine was getting ready for the big day when some friends joined her. They all chatted with the bride while she got ready. When one of Jasmine’s friends asked her if she was ready for the big day, Jasmine replied that she felt "calm" before they arrived, but then she felt a bit "oh!"
Another friend of hers asked Jasmine,
"Have you got the pre-wedding jitters? I know you were quite stressed yesterday."
Jasmine replied that her conversation with her mother threw "a spanner" in the works and that she planted seeds of doubt in Jasmine’s mind.
Later in the episode, the Love is Blind UK star confessed that:
"Having a conversation with my mom yesterday really hurt me. I’m feeling very overwhelmed. I’ve been crying, like, nonstop. I thought my mom was kind of past her scepticism in regards to Bobby. I guess that’s not really the case."
She spoke to her friends about the subject and shared that her mother had her concerns. However, she also shared that she hoped her mom would be, "Oh, he’s amazing for you. You know, you’re great together."
"She (Marisa) thinks I like Bobby more than he likes me. And then she has concerns in regards to his job at the moment," confessed Jasmine.
Jasmine added that her mother thought Bobby couldn't provide for his family. Since her mom shared such opinions, Jasmine was going to consider what she said.
However, Jasmine also shared that despite her mother’s concerns, ultimately, it would be Jasmine’s decision. She also acknowledged that her mother "planted" a lot of doubt in her mind.
