Love Never Lies: South Africa released episodes 1 to 6 on Netflix on November 29, 2024. The show introduced 6 couples to this unique concept where honesty will be tested. It affects not just their emotions but also their financial status. The show split the couples into two groups in episode 2, in which one group was sent to Umjolo Villa, a destination of fun and carefree environment.
The other group stayed at Umgovo Villa. The remaining cast members had the privilege to watch the video footage of Umjolo Villa, where their partners watched with newly introduced singles. This activity was meant to test the bond of these couples and see who remains honest and who falters.
However, this swap caused cracks in many relationships already. Nancy was disheartened to witness Bohlale boding to Mia emotionally. However, Bohlale felt that he was exploring himself, and his connection with Mia was not accounted for cheating. He told Mia during one of their dates:
"Is it cheating? I don't feel like that. I literally feel it is like,'s**t, I am feeling good about what's happening because I am discovering me'."

In Love Never Lies: South Africa, the cast members witnessed the second Love Never Lies ceremony, where Minnie Dlamini revealed the answers to the questions asked by their respective partners. Their honesty or dishonesty decided whether they would win or lose money from the prize pot. However, the answers also shattered the foundation of some relationships as they watched footage of their partners enjoying with the singles in Umjolo Villa.
Nancy, who came on the show with her partner Bohale, questioned her relationship when she discovered that Bohale was emotionally and physically attracted to his then-match Mia. The video footage seen by Nancy also had some physically intimate scenes between Bohlale and Mia, which disturbed her.
Bohlale also accepted during the Eye Detect question round that he had an emotional bond with Mia.
On his last meetup with Mia, before they were leaving Umjolo Villa, Bohlale told her:
"I am really grateful to you because I feel like, I started a journey to become a better person."
Mia also expressed that she was comfortable around him, and it was hard to say goodbye at this point.
