There is no doubt that Euphoria season 3 is one of the most anticipated titles as of now. It has reportedly begun filming in Los Angeles and is being speculated to hit the screens sometime in 2026. Although the proceedings from the upcoming Euphoria season are being tightly kept under wraps by the showrunners, a video surfaced on X handle, Hunter Schafer Br, showcases a possible moment from the shooting of the HBO series. In the recently released behind-the-scenes footage clip, Hunter Schafer, Jacob Elordi, and Eric Dane can be seen performing in character. The scene seems to be an outdoor one as the cast and crew appear outside what appears to be a club by the name of Silver Slipper. At the beginning of the clip, two hooded men are seen accosting a third individual standing by the entrance of the Silver Slipper. They are then spotted running out speedily as the camera follows them.

This clip has given rise to widespread excitement about the release of Euphoria season 3 as audiences eagerly await the third installment of their beloved show. Although the third season was confirmed way back in 2022, it was subsequently delayed following the Hollywood strikes and the deaths of one of its prominent cast members and an executive producer.

What to expect from Euphoria season 3?

Nothing much is known about the plot of Euphoria season 3. It was earlier reported by Deadline that the third installment will feature a prominent time jump that will seek to bridge the real-time gap between the second and the third seasons, also explaining the advanced ages of the characters involved.

Actor Colman Domingo, who plays the character of a recovering drug addict, Ali on the HBO show, recently opened up to The Hollywood Reporter, hinting at the exciting third season. He commented:

"I go back to my show Euphoria — I haven’t read (the script) but (creator Sam Levinson) told me some of it, and it’s going to be groundbreaking."

Domingo had further spilled a few details about the upcoming season back in a 2022 interview with Deadline when he revealed:

"It’s an organism, and (Sam Levinson) wants it to keep shifting it in many ways and I think he’s going to take some really big swings actually with season 3. He’s someone who, once there’s an expectation of the show, he wants to smash that expectation because he truly is a consummate artist, and he wants to make sure he’s telling some really compelling storytelling. And just because we had some successes before with this season, he said, ‘Let’s not rely on that. Let’s move forward. I’m going to go deeper with these characters. I’m going to really peel away the layers of them and just get to the human heart."

Euphoria season 3 release speculations explored

Euphoria season 3 was initially greenlit in 2022 itself but was eventually delayed due to the SAG-AFTRA strikes as well as the deaths of star, Angus Cloud, and executive producer, Kevin Turen. HBO's CEO, Casey Bloys, confirmed to Deadline in November that the filming would begin in January 2025 and is currently ongoing. Therefore it might be speculated that the upcoming season will hit the screens sometime next year.
