House Of David Season 1 release schedule: When do new episodes of Prime Video's upcoming historical drama drop?

Historical drama series House of David Season 1 premiered on Prime Video with three episodes on February 27, 2025. The series portrays a tale of a young shepherd David and his epic rise to become the King of Israel. The famous battle between David and Goliath will be the spotlight of the season.

House of David Season 1 has a total of eight episodes with the finale split into two parts. Following the initial three episodes, each episode will air weekly, with the Season 1 finale airing on April 3, 2025.

House of David is created by Jon Erwin, who is known for his work on Jesus Revolution. The epic series House of David will bring the biblical tale of David to life through grand costumes, scenic settings and memorable performances.

About House of David

House of David revolves around the rise of a young shepherd called David, who fights the mighty Goliath to become the king of Israel.

The story sets off with King Saul's downfall due to his own pride. With the guidance from prophet Samuel, David fulfils his destiny to take the throne while tackling emotional and physical hurdles.

The synopsis of the show states,

‘House of David tells the story of the ascent of the biblical figure, David, who becomes the most celebrated king of Israel. The series follows the once-mighty King Saul as he falls victim to his own pride. A the direction of God, the prophet Samiel anoints an unlikely, outcast teenager as the new king.
