House of the Dragon Season 3 drops fresh casting updates

According to reports, Tom Cullen (from Downton Abbey) will take up the part of Ser Luthor Largent, a lowborn of Westeros (as mentioned in the GRRM novels) who has recently reached the rank of a knight. As the story goes in Fire & Blood (the book from which House of the Dragon has been adapted), Ser Luthor Largent is known for his immense strength.

Rumor has it that he once took down a warhorse all by himself, and surprisingly, he was unarmed. According to EW, Barry Sloane will portray Ser Adrian Redfort, who hails from House Redfort. In Season 3 of House of the Dragon, Adrian will be seen rising to higher ranks and fighting on behalf of the dragon queen Rhaenyra. Ser Adrian Redfort will supposedly be a key character in the upcoming chapter after he pledges loyalty to the Queen.

Per Entertainment Weekly, Joplin Sibtain has joined the cast of House of the Dragon Season 3 in the role of Bold Jon Roxton, who also goes by the identity Ser Jon Roxton. Not only does he carry a sword made of Valerian steel (as per the book), but he also heads House Roxton.

According to reports, House of the Dragon Season 3 is currently being filmed in the United Kingdom, and the cast list will be no smaller than the previous chapters. The HBO prequel has been well-received by viewers ever since its inception back in 2022.

Not only does it leave key details about different clans and their origin stories in the ancient Westeros, but it also serves intense action, clubbed with drama. Game of Thrones has undoubtedly won millions of hearts by portraying the beastly dragons on-screen, but House of the Dragon, as viewers have responded, is definitely taking it on a whole other level.
