90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days Season 7 premiered on TLC on Sunday, September 1, 2024. The first episode of the reality show featured Rayne from New Mexico and her romantic connection, Chidi who hails from Nigeria.
The first episode titled "Great Expectations," showcased how Chidi was concerned before meeting his five-year-long connection, Rayne for the first time.
Chidi told his sister that some things "worried and concerned" him about Rayne:
"Yeah, as lovely as she just says anything that comes to her head, she doesn’t process words before leashing them out, and she’s highly temperamental."

The first episode of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days saw Chidi set up a separate bedroom for Rayne. He wanted to sleep in separate bedrooms to maintain celibacy before their wedding.
"When she mentioned she’s coming to Nigeria, I didn’t tell her that we’ll not be having s*x. And that she will be staying in a separate bedroom. It’s something that I couldn’t bear to tell her on phone. But I just hope she understands my commitment to God,” confessed Chidi.
Chidi’s sister, Victoria, was also excited and couldn’t wait to see Rayne. She mentioned that Rayne would be the "first American" staying in their home. Victoria also shared that Rayne coming to Nigeria to meet Chidi was "a big deal."
"Don’t worry. We’ll make everything comfortable for her. We don’t have Heaven on Earth, but you know, we have love. We have happiness, we have peace," shared Victoria.
While moving something around in the bedroom, Victoria asked Chidi about his plans after Rayne’s visit. Chidi said that he wanted to settle down and would propose to Rayne.
"Yes, yes. Is it good idea? Got assistance now, I still need time. There are some things about her that, worries and concerns me," shared Chidi.
He told his sister he was concerned about Rayne being "highly temperamental." Later, Chidi shared that although they have been together for five years, they have had some "quarrels and fights."
Chidi shared that Rayne could be "deeply mistrusting" and that he found it "extremely hard" to reason with her when she felt that way. The 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days star added that, it was not something that he could put up with.
"So I’m hopeful that when we meet face to face, it is something that we can work on and get over. But I am deeply nervous about telling her that we will not be sleeping together in the same room. I believe this will not all go well with her, and it worries me."
However, Chidi mentioned that he was hopeful and looked forward to working on such things and getting over them.
