Suits LA, the spin-off to Peacock's hit legal drama Suits, kicked off with an intense Pilot that set the show's events in motion.

Since its premiere, Suits' protagonist and a fan-favorite character, Gabriel Macht's Harvey Specter, was confirmed to reprise his character (in a three-episode arc) for the spin-off. In a recent interview with TVLine, creator Aaron Korsh teased Harvey's return:

"We put that picture [of Harvey and Ted] that you see in Episode 2. It is in the pilot. It’s in there behind Ted’s desk. … Then Episode 2 introduces the concept, explicitly, that Harvey and Ted were friends, and that Kevin knew Harvey, also. And then Harvey will show up in the past, and then he’ll show up in the past again, and then he shows up in the present."

Since the Suits LA Pilot loaded a lot of problems for its protagonist, Ted Black, he will likely call for help from his friend and the best closer in town.

Harvey and Ted's past will be explored in Suits LA's upcoming episodes

While the Suits LA Pilot dealt with Ted's present problems at his firm, it also offered a glimpse into his past in New York 15 years ago. And since Harvey was an important part of this past, the spin-off's upcoming episodes will explore their friendship, as confirmed by Korsh (via TVLine):

"Ted was a prosecutor in New York at the time that Harvey was working in New York, so they, clearly, would’ve known each other. Now, they didn’t work in the same office. Ted was a U.S. Attorney, but Harvey was in the District Attorney’s office. So what I came up with was they both played in this prosecutors’ league baseball team. So it just made sense that they would know each other. To put other people in would be just much harder to figure out."

The Pilot revealed that Ted's brother Eddie, with whom he kept having conversations about his past, is dead, and Korsh revealed that the show will keep developing on these flashbacks:

''[There are] four, maybe five, scenes of flashbacks per episode, and we’re, basically, telling the story of what happened in Ted’s last year in New York.''

Suits LA premiere saw Ted getting dual betrayed by his partner and best friend, Stuart Lane, who left him out of a big merger and poached his clients and mentee Rick, who joined Lane's firm.

In upcoming episodes, Harvey will help Ted with this pickle.
