Wheel of Fortune host Ryan Seacrest joined his former co-host Kelly Ripa, along with his sister Meredith Seacrest, to promote their children's book The Make-Believers on October 7.

The Seacrest siblings featured on Live with Kelly and Mark, and Kelly reminisced about old memories by teasing Ryan Seacrest about his new stint as the host of the game show.

Ryan Seacrest left Live with Kelly last year and was officially replaced by Mark Consuelos on April 17, 2023. Ryan hinted at venturing into other reality TV shows like American Idol, On Air with Ryan Seacrest, and Wheel of Fortune. He was announced as the new host of Wheel of Fortune in June 2023, and rumors suggested that this was the real reason why Ryan departed from Live with Kelly.

However, after the departure announcement by Pat Sajak, the veteran host of almost four decades, on June 7, 2024, it became clear that Ryan would be co-hosting the show with Vanna White.

During the 'Live' reunion, Kelly Ripa took the opportunity to quip at her former co-host about his current role as the host of the game show. Kelly teasingly questioned Ryan:

"So, tell me about Wheel of Fortune now. Have you learned how to spell?"

Ryan humorously replied that his texting game has not improved, of which Kelly is a witness, but he was doing alright with the puzzles. Wheel of Fortune Season 42 premiered on September 9, 2024, on CBS.

Wheel of Fortune host Ryan Seacrest and former co-host Kelly Ripa reunite

Ryan Seacrest and Kelly Ripa go back a long way from co-hosting Live with Kelly from 2017 to 2023. Ryan announced his departure in April last year, citing his other reality TV ventures. He disclosed this during his exit speech before finally bidding farewell to the show. He said:

"Once American Idol starts live from Los Angeles later this spring, I’ll head out to the West Coast and host that show.”

He took to his Instagram on February 16, 2023, to express his gratitude toward Kelly Ripa for being a wonderful co-host. He also mentioned that he would further be venturing into his radio show and American Idol Season 21. His post further stated:

"I’m looking forward to coming back to guest host in the future and Kelly, I promise to forever share my food photos, chicken eggs, and olive oil with you. And congratulations to my brother Mark, feel free to remodel my dressing room!"

However, Ryan did not return as a guest host, but he did join Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos during an episode of the aforementioned show. Ryan was teased by Kelly, but the two former co-hosts maintained the fun quotient throughout.

Wheel of Fortune airs on CBS on weeknights at 06:30 pm ET/PT.
