Good American Family Episode 3 recap: Kristine suspects Natalia is an adult

The latest episode of Good American Family, titled Ghosts Everywhere, aired recently on Hulu. In keeping with the non-linear aspect of Good American Family, Ghosts Everywhere kicked off in 2019 with Kristine living with her sons and then cut back to 2010 to reveal the horrifying ordeal involving Natalia Grace and the Barnett family.

Good American Family: Kristine and Natalia contend with each other

After showing Kristine facing charges on allegations of neglect in 2019, the show proceeds to a flashback where, in 2010, Kristine's suspicion that Natalia isn't as young as she claims to be intensifies. Kristine takes Natalia to their family doctor, Steve, who initially dismisses her suspicions, along with Michael. Kristine then discovers that First Path, the adoption agency from which she found Natalia, is locked in a class-action lawsuit over allegations of fraud, trafficking, and promising the same child to multiple families.

Kristine once again takes Natalia to several specialist doctors, all of whom confirm that she is an adult and is well past puberty. When Michael and Kristine see a therapist about Natalia, the therapist hints that the latter might have Reactive Attachment Disorder (RAD). While Michael wants to try out reattachment therapy to help Natalia, Kristine is hell-bent on believing that she is an adult after all and makes use of a behavioral regime known as Tough Love Your Teenager.

Kristine alleges that Natalia tried to poison her

The latest episode of Good American Family further shows Kristine trying her best to track down Natalia's original birth certificate after discovering that the one she was provided with was a fake. She subsequently receives a package from Homeland Security and learns that the New Jersey family where Natalia previously lived is no better. On the other hand, Kristine keeps claiming that Natalia is trying to antagonize her.

After receiving a call from the show’s producers in New York, Kristine takes a sip from her coffee only to spit it out—she believes Natalia tried to poison her. This is further compounded by the fact that Kristine finds a pair of bloody socks and a tampon, hinting that Natalia might be having her period.
